A trade is worth what it PRODUCED, measured against a league-average starter at that position — Cam's call, and the stricter option: it asks "did he beat a typical starter", not "did he beat your bench". A pick is graded as the player it actually became, never a value curve. The headline horizon is three seasons. Grades are exactly equal and opposite: the measured production edge is zero-sum. Both managers may still improve their rosters or meet different needs. 4 of 5 trades are partial — at least one leg is a pick that could not be resolved — and are excluded from these totals rather than counted as zero.
